After years of planning, and months of late nights and early mornings we are coming to the end of our 25,000 km ‘To Do’ list and are about to do it for real. After all the preparation and hands on training, it’s hard to believe that we are finally about to head south for Africa.

This journey has been a joint dream of Kate and Nigel’s since 2003 and quite a while longer for Nigel. Our Land Cruiser, named ‘Mr Cruise’, by Angus’ class at Mount House School, is packed to the brim and ready for our adventure.

Thank you so much to all our family and friends for all their support during our preparations. In particular, a huge thank you to Marsha, who has spent days helping us, to Anne and Paul for coming on the trial run in Tanzania and to Chris and Nadine for all their help with first aid.
